Calvary Bible Church - Ministries
Sunday School
Calvary offers a variety of Sunday School options for every member of the family. Below are the Summer 2011 (May - August) Adult Sunday School Classes:
Building the Church: A Spiritual Concept
Led by: Bob Jackson & Pastor Weber
We will be looking into the Scriptures and define what is the church. We will be answering questions such as: Why do we need the church? Why is fellowship of the believers so important? Why do we have Pastors, Elders, and Deacons? What is the purpose of Calvary Bible Church? Why should we consider tithing? Should we be serving in the church or outside of the church? What is the Bride of Christ and how does that relate to the Church? Why are we building a new building and what is the significance of a church building in the Bible?
Seven Last Words of Christ from the Cross
Led by: Pastor Morrison
By all accounts Jesus didn't do a lot of talking on the cross. It was as if her were alone in his pain - silent for many hours, except for a very few words. But these last Seven Words of Christ from the Cross provide a window into Jesus' soul, a way to understand through his own last words what was ultimately important to him as he died on the cross.
