This documentary does a fantastic job addressing the theological and political issues over the issue of abolition. This is a 99-minute video. PRO-LIFE LETTERS OPPOSING EQUAL PROTECTION:

This is the letter that I alluded to that is signed and endorsed by 72 Pro-life organizations which state unequivocally that they would never criminalize the act of abortion. This is a letter posted by “Heritage Restored” an abortion abolitionist group situated in Ohio and within the letter they highlight the key phrasing and terminology which shows where the pro-life organizations stand. Within the letter the phrasing, “Criminalizing women” is used frequently. This is an emotional manipulation to make those who long for equal protection look mean and misogynistic. Our goal is to criminalize the act of murder. If that is not done, then abortion will never end, especially with easy access to the abortion pill nowadays. Within this letter you see that the Pro-life industry will always seek to provide immunity and impunity to mothers who murder their children. “As national and state pro-life organizations, representing tens of millions of pro-life men, women, and children across the country, let us be clear: We state unequivocally that we do not support any measure seeking to criminalize or punish women and we stand firmly opposed to include such penalties in legislation.” – Page 2

In this letter addressed to the North Dakota Republican Party on April 2^nd, 2024, a number of Pro-life leaders write against supporting an equal protection bill in North Dakota. “With this in mind, we are troubled that the North Dakota Republican Party is considering a resolution that supports charging women as “co-conspirators” in their own abortions.” (Page 1)In it they make plea to the North Dakota Republican Party by referencing the “open letter signed by over 70 state and national pro-life organizations in 2022”. (Page 1)This letter as well was signed by 18 Pro-life leaders/organizations. Many whom you will recognize.

EQUAL PROTECTION BILL EXAMPLE:

Here is HB813 in its entirety. A short bill that gets straight to the point. This is what all of those Pro-life organizations publicly oppose.

The notable parts are lines 13-19 on Page 1, and Lines 1-3 on Page 2. “(1) Fully recognize the human personhood of an unborn child at all stages of development prior to birth from the moment of fertilization. (2) Ensure the right to life and equal protection of the laws to all unborn children from the moment of fertilization by protecting them by the same laws protecting other human beings. (3) Recognize that the United States Constitution and the laws of the United States are the supreme law of the land. (4) Treat as void and of no effect any and all federal statutes, regulations, treaties, orders, and court rulings which would deprive an unborn child of the right to life or prohibit the equal protection of such right.”
